DOE-ANDERSON HIRES McCANN WORLDGROUP EXECUTIVE AS EVP, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL BRANDS

Former Coca-Cola Global Lead joins 106-year-old Louisville agency.

LOUISVILLE, KY – A seasoned global brand marketing professional with more than 20 years’ experience working with some of the most iconic brands in the world has joined the leadership team of Doe-Anderson. Matt Woehrmann has led marketing efforts for global brands including Coca-Cola, Chevrolet, Microsoft, L’Oréal, Unilever and Johnson & Johnson. Much of his career was spent with McCann Worldgroup in New York, Detroit, Mexico City and Atlanta. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer at a McCann subsidiary, Fitzco, where he led a team of more than 150. Under his leadership, Fitzco saw significant growth and transformed capabilities, adding national brands to its roster and winning an array of top-tier industry awards. Matt is also Board Chair and Co-founder of Advertising for Change, a multiagency organization focused on increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in advertising.

At Doe-Anderson, Matt will lead the agency’s integrated business with global client Maker’s Mark and its parent company, Beam Suntory. As a new addition to the leadership team, he will also be charged with further expanding the agency’s capabilities for work with global brands and clients.

“Matt’s expertise in growing global brands and leading diverse, talented teams to highly creative and effective work fits perfectly with our vision of future growth for the agency,” said Doe-Anderson Chair Todd Spencer. “He has a tremendous acumen for building belief in brands, which is the very thing we stand for at Doe-Anderson.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Doe-Anderson in this unique role and at this time in our industry,” said Woehrmann. “Clients need agencies to produce powerful creative work to grow big brands, but increasingly need agencies to be easy to work with, nimble and flexible to their continually changing needs. I believe Doe is perfectly positioned to deliver this. As I got to know the agency’s leaders, it was clear that 106 years in, they have the vision and are making the right investments to do world-class work from their fiercely independent position in the industry. The chance to harness their unique culture and talent for such an iconic brand drew me in.”

This is the second addition to Doe-Anderson senior leadership in recent months, with Leyla Touma Dailey being named Chief Creative Officer in March. Dailey brings big-brand experience from a career that includes agencies such as Digitas, Young & Rubican, and Cavalry.

“While we’ve been fortunate to enjoy steady growth at the agency for many years,” said Spencer, “tweaking our leadership structure will serve us well moving forward to keep up with our clients’ needs and how we can continue to be a more creative, innovative and effective partner for them.”
