AMIN provides annual networking and staff development conferences in these eight vital agency areas:

These conferences give our members opportunities to share information with colleagues from throughout the network, while also developing relationships for on-going advice throughout the year. Travel expenses are prorated among attendees, allowing all participants to pay the same cost for transportation, regardless of their location in relation to the conference site.

Media Value Greater Than the Cost of Membership
By pooling our resources, AMIN agencies contract for media and research services at rates substantially lower than what we would pay for them individually. In fact, for most agencies, the media savings are far greater than the annual cost of AMIN membership.

The subscription to the basic services is billed to all AMIN agencies on a prorated basis. Additional reports or services offered by these companies are available to members at similar cost savings, with all such purchases strictly voluntary.

Agencies throughout the network serve as lending libraries for actual volumes of Mendelsohn, Scarborough and The Media Audit materials. In addition, our agreement with Mendelsohn includes on-line access for agencies with that capability.

The cost of sharing in the AMIN group media services varies, depending on annual billing. Currently, the annual cost ranges from just over $4,000 for our smallest member to about $32,000 for the largest member of our network.

With AMIN offices in major markets all over the globe, we have “branch offices” we can call on at a moment’s notice for localized services that our clients may need. Our affiliate agencies can offer on-the-spot services, ranging from store monitoring to production supervision, with fully-trained staff native to the key market area. AMIN covers more of the top 30 U.S. markets than any multi-national agency and – our clients tell us – responds faster and cheaper.

At the same time, our vast network also offers a depth of expertise in various products and industry categories that would be impossible to achieve within a single agency. An Expertise List is published annually and provided to member agencies. This valuable list includes specific client experience by product or service, name of the client, product category and names of AMIN members. Access to this kind of vertical knowledge and experience can be critical both in servicing existing clients and in fast-paced new business pitches.

New Business Assistance
The competition for new business is keen, and more and more prospective clients are seeking access to national or global resources in their agency partner. AMIN gives independent agencies the opportunity to compete on a regional, national or even worldwide basis by providing new business assistance in the following areas:

  • Pre-presentation Research – Use network affiliates to gather input about a prospect’s products, distribution, sales performance, competition and future potential. This research will provide the background and support for strengthened presentation recommendations.
