Local Company Getting National Attention
For Taking Pants Off

SALT LAKE CITY, July 13, 2011 – Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, has received national attention for its fourth annual “No Pants” policy, which kicked of yesterday. Media outlets including CNBC to the Sacramento Bee, from New York to California, have published articles on yesterday morning’s event.

All employees at the agency are encouraged to wear anything but pants, even in professional meetings, from July 12 to August 12, to combat hot summer temperatures. Instead of pants, suggested leg wear can range from shorts and skirts to lava lavas. All employees caught wearing pants will be fined one quarter for their treason. No exception.

“Activities like the No Pants policy, our recent Ad Bowl or going to movies as an agency help us to bond and function as a more unified team,” said Tim Brown, Richter7 partner. “Our everyday goal is to habitually produce the best work we can for each client, and we find it important to have fun as we do so.”

Richter7 invites members of AAF – Utah to participate in the clothing drive during this month-long event. Contributions from Richter7 and AAF – Utah members will be donated to the Volunteers of America.

“Bosses encouraging their employees to wear shorts to work is something you don’t see everyday,” said Brown. “And finding clever solutions to everyday problems is what our clients expect from us.”

Named Utah’s “Best of State” advertising agency eight times, Richter7 is nationally recognized for effective advertising, public relations and design for clients from Minneapolis to Hawaii.
